There are a few rankings that you need to remember. There is AAA, AA, A, B, C, D, and E. AAA is the best and E is the worst. To get AAA, you need all perfects. To get an E, you pretty much have to get a lot of misses and boos. Around 50 perhaps. The ranking you get varies for every song. The only bad thing is that you can only get a AA or AAA on heavy and oni mode.
Here is an example of getting a AA ranking.
Getting a AA is very hard, especially when there are a lot of notes in each song. There are roughly over 300 notes in each song. It is very very hard to get that that many combos, especially on songs like Max 300. To get a AA, you need to get all combos. If you are lucky, you can get 1 or 2 goods and still get a AA.
Here is an example of a C ranking.
On that song, you would need roughly 440 perfects and greats, 20 goods, and 30 misses and boos. It is just an estimate.
